Johnny Rook (Striated Caracara) portrait
Johnny Rook (Striated Caracara) portrait. Johnny Rook as it is called in the Falklands is a fearless bird. Do not turn your back to it, or leave your valuable photo gear behind when Jonny Rooks are nearby. Take a look at a short Johnny Rook-video: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/215523/johnny_rook/ or Flying Devils.
On one of my visits to Steeple Jason Island in the Falklands one of them stole my camera bag and flew almost 300 meter(1000 ft) with it before I was able to get it back. Anyway, Johnny Rook is one of my favorite birds - fearless and bold. Steeple Jason Island, Falkland Islands.
