Albatrosses are wide-Light-mantled sooty albatross in flight over seaweed. With feathers in all shades of grey, the Light-mantled sooty albatross is one of the most beautifully colored of all albatrosses.
Albatrosses prefer to stay out on the open ocean most of the time. Only in the breeding season they are seen near land at their nesting sites at some of the most remote islands in the world.

Coopers Bay on South Georgia Island is one of the best places to see Light-mantled sooty albatrosses.I was lucky to get this flying bird soaring over the seaweed just before it landed on the nest on a steep grassy slope.
